Olivia Brooks is a typographer and type designer. She worked on signs for airports and hospitals across the United States before she began teaching.
She leads the research on type for public signs, testing how letterforms hold up at distance, at speed and in poor light.
In the Visual Communication master’s program, she teaches grid and editorial design studios, and gives a public lecture each fall.
