- Testing methods
Ava Collins runs the materials testing hall. She studied civil engineering in Arizona and completed her doctorate on concrete made with recycled aggregates.
She leads the low-carbon concrete project, which has poured and tested more than four hundred mixes and built its first full-size pavilion on campus in 2025.
She teaches laboratory courses in the Computer Science and Data Science programs, where students build sensors to monitor her samples.
