Sarah Johnson is a materials scientist who spent the first part of her career in industry, testing concrete and steel for infrastructure projects in the American West.

At St. George School, she has opened the college’s laboratories to students across campus. Architecture students test materials here, and engineering students join design reviews.

She supervises the low-carbon concrete project and teaches the master’s program course on materials and their life cycle.
